Printer Troubleshooting on Build 21354

For information to everyone:

It’s disable to use printer HP LaserJet M1132 MFP after upgrading to build 21354.1: Printer is missing in the Device Manager, Settings/Printers & Scanners shows “HP LaserJet M1132 MFP  Offline”,   Print Queues shows the documents sent for printing, but printing doesn’t run. Troubleshooter Windows does not detect any problem. Returning to the build 21343.1000 resolves the trouble.

    My Canon Pixma Pro 100s stopped working after installing build 21354 then upgrade build 21364 and still doesn't work. Now I can't no longer get back to build 21343 or other working builds. Any suggestions?

    @RubenFi,

    As a workaround till they fix the problem with USB you could try using the printer with the Lan or wireless connection, which ,according to the specs, are available on that printer. My PIXMA 882 is connected via Ethernet and works with 21364.

    Just updated to build 21364 and my USB printers still don't work. This release says it fixes the issue. Anyone's issue fixed?

    I also updated to build 21364, but my USB printers still don't work too.

    It is still an unresolved problem the blog reported as corrected, but it was not not fixed with 21364, we'll have to wait for the fix on next build. 

    This statement is not true in 21364 blog:

    • We fixed an issue causing some USB attached printers to no longer work after upgrading to Build 21354 and higher.

    Hopefully, Microsoft will solve the problem in the next builds?

    I don't know the answer to this question, in the meantime we should try to understand if the Microsoft engineers or developers are aware of the problem and how long it will take to fix the bug

    If you compare usbprint.sys in build 21343 versus the one in 21354 you can see that they are completely different and they seem to have dropped the support for some types of USB printers.

    Also you cannot save the printer properties settings because the parameters they prepare are incorrect.

    The spoolsv.exe is also changed.

    It looks like opening a can of worms 😜
