    about the channel : I get the CU updates (KB) but I think that is only regedit forced

    Show your insider settings with a snapshot, please and stop guessing 😉.

    Hi,

    It can be done, I have upgraded a 19043.1202 to 22454.1000 and also done a clean install of 22454 on a box in the red zone which is still Legacy BIOS.

    The problem is that if I describe all the steps, MS may block it again and plug the holes on the next Build, then you will be back where you are. 😒

    Also because it is unsupported configuration you cannot really report any of the problems on FBH and expect a reply or a solution, it is all at your risk as shown in the message .

    From what I see you have a UEFI box, only missing TPM and also the processor model 4790 is unsupported.

    I assume that you have Secure Boot on, so that should not be an issue.

    The steps are different depending on where you start from.

    1. Clean install.
    2. Upgrade from Windows 10.
    3. Upgrade from 22000.168 to 22454.1000 with Installation Media (not tried that yet).

    I see that you currently have 22000.168, are you still in insider Release Preview Channel or did they kick you out completely ?

    Maybe we can find a way to do an update from 22000.168 to 22454.1000 with the installation media.

    You have to decide which of the 3 cases you want to use.

    First find out if you are still in insider R.P. or not ?
