Tried updating from 25295.1000. Got to 100% and GSOD with error in FLTMGR.sys. Reverted to a previous backup of the same release and it failed again with the same error. Have you tried running sfc /scannow? Have you run the Windows Update Troubleshooter? Are all your drivers up to date? Also please file this issue in the Feedback Hub. WIN+F

Just got this error trying one update from 25300 to 25309, it reverted back to 25300.

Tried updating from 25295.1000. Got to 100% and GSOD with error in FLTMGR.sys. Reverted to a previous backup of the same release and it failed again with the same error.

FYI. I got the install error at high 90's. Since the error is documented as probable driver problem and I had installed the latest NVIDIA driver earlier today I downloaded and installed the previous driver. Tried again. It got to 99% and failed again.

Update was painless but once again my opening Desktop had been changed from Spotlight to a Solid background colour! We plan to re-introduce an updated Windows Spotlight experience for Insiders in a future flight based on the feedback from Insiders from using these different treatments. As part of disabling these treatments, Insiders may need to go to Settings > Personalization and re-enable Windows Spotlight. I've seen that happening before, but in this case, it was expected. 😎

Just got this error trying one update from 25300 to 25309, it reverted back to 25300.
