    followed your link to download latest version but requirements say "Only for windows 10", and it needs a .Net version older than what's current and installation of other versions is actively blocked.

    It also will work for Win 11.

    After upgrade, startup apps were altered again. PATH variables were unchanged this time.

    Third try is the charm, deleted the software distribution. Got a fresh download and installed completely.
