    On my Canary laptop I didn't have to do anything.

    The XBoxIdenityProvider error in the Store cleared

    on its own with the 26063 update.

    I can reproduce the problem on several machines.

    Did you have the error before?

    What is the version of the installed Xbox Identity Provider?

    12.95.3001.0

    or

    12.110.15002.0

    Hi Johnny,

    To get rid of the issue with Xbox Identity Provider in Canary, I ended up doing the following on several different machines:

    While I was still at 26058.1000, I switched to Dev Channel and let W.U. update to 26058.1400, after that the MS Store also updated the Xbox Identity Provider to latest version 12.110.15002.0.

    Once all that was done, I switched back to Canary and updated with ISO to 26063.1.

    No more issues with Xbox Identity Provider.

    I think that MS needs to do that update to version 12.110.15002.0 directly also in Canary to eliminate the issue completely.

    The Canary machines that still have version 12.95.3001.0 get the error back when updating with ISO. 😉

    @johnny55,

    As I suspected after I updated from 26058.1400 to 26063.1 using the ISO I did not get the problem with Xbox Identity Provider because it was already previously updated to the latest version while in Development channel.

    You can see that now the in this Canary system the version is already 12.110.15002.0.

    Seems confusing, but it explains why it did not fail. 😉

    Hi FG,

    I clean installed using Official ISO then WU to take the build to 26058.1300 twice. I then run the Store updates, never checked the original version of XboxIdentityProvider but I got the same result that it updated to without having to install older version:

    I haven't even got to 26063.1 yet. Two clean installs and I have 2.77GB leftover that cannot be cleaned, see Dev thread.

    I know, it works with Dev, but not with Canary 26063 ISO. 😂🤷‍♂️

    Next, I'll upgrade from 26058.1400 to 26063 with ISO to see what happens.
