FIX: Insiders not able to switch channels - **UPDATED 8/3/2021**

Hello Windows Insiders!

Windows 11 is now in the Beta Channel, and some of you are wanting to move over from the Dev Channel. We've been getting some reports that some of you are not seeing the options to change in Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program. We have a fix that should get you back on track. Please note, this fix is for devices that are not showing the Choose your Insider Settings and Windows Insider account settings, as in the image below.

If you are seeing this, please follow the steps below to restore the missing options:

  1. If you have Bitlocker enabled, please suspend it.
  2. Click Start
  3. In the search box, type cmd
  4. In the lower right of the search results, under Command Prompt, click Run as Administrator
  5. On the UAC prompt, click OK
  6. At the elevated command prompt, type: bcdedit /set flightsigning on
  7. Press Enter
  8. At the elevated command prompt, type: bcdedit /set {bootmgr} flightsigning on
  9. Press Enter
  10. Reboot the device

You should now see the missing options:

    Because you are using Insider install you can get the "Some of these settings are managed by your organization" so some are locked by MS so nothing to worry about.

    There a regedit key to remove but I'm at work so will post later

    I have a slightly different issue. I can see the options but I'm unable to change from Dev to Beta, They're greyed out. I have the "Some of these settings are managed by your organization" So, I disconnected my work account (an Office 365 account) and tried changing everything I could find on the topic. I did notice that my machine shows as connected to a domain, but I'm not connected to one. I recently did a RESET but it still shows me connected to HP-Spectre.mydomain.local - a domain I had on a Windows 2003 Server long since retired. Is it as simple as unjoining the domain and rejoining when I get a new server? Shouldn't I be able to change this in GPE?

    I paused updates for 1 week because I don't want to start getting dev builds. 160 is solid, fast, and I'd prefer to stay on stable releases going forward.

    How do I get the "organization" to stop managing this? I tried GPEdit and turned on and off a number of settings that appeared relevant - no joy.

    Any help you can provide would be appreciated - I'm sure I'm not the only one having this issue.

    2. Na **caixa de pesquisa,**digite cmd
    3. No direito inferior dos resultados de pesquisa, em Comando Prompt, clique em Executar como Administrador
    4. No **prompt UAC,**clique em OK
    5. No prompt de comando elevado, digite: bcdedit /set flightsigning on
    6. Pressione Enter
    7. Sem prompt de comando elevado, digite: bcdedit /set {bootmgr} flightsigning on
    8. Pressione Enter
    9. Reinicializar o dispositivo

    Olha!!!! Continua com o mesmo "Problema"
