Apart from what I have said in the previous comment I would like to add that I do not wish to downgrade to Windows 10 in any way. As I said there, my laptop meets all the requirements, except for CPU generation. I have been able to install Windows 11 in the Dev Channel and Windows 11 is running great. I see no reason to be forced to downgrade and do not want it, because I'm seeing first hand that Windows 11 is better than Windows 10.
Moreover, given that Windows 11 is running OK with a 7th generation CPU, this shows that the reason to prohibit people with this hardware to upgrade cannot have anything to do with performance. I don't get the reason, but if it is because of security, then Microsoft should really be delivering distinct editions of Windows 11 because not everyone needs that high level of security. I certainly don't, I do not deal with any sensitive data on my laptop and certainly thousands of users will be in this situation as well. It is unfair to disallow us to use a better and more modern OS even if we have some hardware which is capable of doing it just because the high level of security is not an option - and one that we do not need!
I hope that Microsoft understands that several users won't have the money to upgrade the hardware. Not everyone lives in the US and the exchange rate is a real issue. Just for you to understand, I have bought this Nitro 5 laptop two years ago and prices have doubled since. If I were to buy a new laptop to meet the CPU generation requirements I would be forced to effectively downgrade my hardware because another laptop with similar capabilities is simply out of the question. That applies certainly to a lot of users.
In that case, given that we have a hardware capable of running Windows 11 is it fair to disallow these users to enjoy the new OS just because they can't afford new hardware right now?
In that case, I really hope Microsoft reviews these hardware requirements, and if needs be delivers Windows 11 in different editions. Again, I'm on Dev Channel, Windows 11 is running great and smoothly and I do not wish at all to downgrade to Windows 10.
