Preparing for Insider Preview Builds of Windows 11 - ***UPDATED 6/28***

just try windows11 I ts better I pring

My computer is not windows 11 capable with 9th gen core i5 9600k Msi carbon motherboard 128gigs of ram 1tb nvme corsair mp600 hard drive Evga Geforce GTX 1060 SSC video card . What were you people thinking with how much hardware is needed if you want dell, hp, lenovo ect to build a slow computer and have windows 11 running in them.

para instalar windows 11. solo debes tener habilitado el TPM en la BIOS . yo lo instale asi y eso que no cumplia los requerimientos micro i 3 intel y la placa de video PCIE HD4600. ya llevo mas de 2 semanas probando y con la nueva actualizacion. funcionando de maravillas.

For users who are receiving the following message in your Windows Insider Settings:

Your PC does not meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 11. Your device may continue to receive Insider Preview builds until Windows 11 is generally available, at which time it is recommended to clean install to Windows 10.

We've made an update to Settings to resolve some issues. Please reboot your device to ensure you have the latest update.

I have done all the update as well as all the MIcrosoft Software Updates. But it says the exact thing up above and it doesn't make Sense.

Listed Below is my build.

I have a FULL ASUS Gaming Motherboard

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz 4.00 GHz (Overclocking capabilities)

Corsair 32.0 GB RAMS (Might upgrade to 64)

512 SSD for Windows 10 and all the necessary drivers, defragged monthly

2 Terabytes 7,200 rpm Hard drive for Local storage

4 raiding Hard drive for Local Networking drive, shared

55" Gaming Monitor

Wireless Gaming Keyboard and Mouse

Bluetooth and WiFi Capabilities up to 3,000 mps.

43mps download and 10mps upload (Checked Weekly)

Digital TV Tuner Card,

Surround Sound Pioneer System (Gives thunderous Base and Trebles at 300 Watts per Speaker (4 Speakers, 5 Base and Tuner Combo)

Wireless Headphone Systems

Motion Feel Chair where if you are hit in a game, you can actually feel it)

Plus I also have an Oculus Quest II for Virtual Reality Experience when I want.

Yet I don't meet requirement? What I would like to see if instead of getting message like this, I want to see what is a required add-on to my existing system to meet your requirement. I want to know why my system failed and what I need to update, and/or add to it...

You have a system capable of running Windows 10 and a lot of other OS very well.

A few Questions:

• Windows installed on GPT drive ?
• Do you have a TPM module or does your system allow you to turn on fTPM or PTT in Bios ?
• Latest Bios from manufacturer?
• Note: A number of Intel processors did not make the list and some for reasons related to TPM . You might want to checkout Intel website regarding i7-6700K and specifically looking at the notes on the 'K' series processor with regard to TPM or PTT

Most of the 'hard' requirements are surrounding the 'security' of Windows 11 and are the reason for the hardware requirements.

In the past we could modify a system to add sound features or upgrade graphics to keep our systems updated. With the new requirements for Windows 11 a lot of builders are hitting a wall as no one is making alternate Processors to swap out and continue using what we built. Even though TPM has been out for a long time it has not become a hard issue until today. Would have helped if Microsoft gave us some hints about this. At least we can still use Windows 10 (which some are more comfortable with) until 2025 , right ? By then many builders would be putting something new together anyway.

It would help greatly if we had a roadmap from Insider channel going forward regarding anything on the Beta channel and if we could continue there. Am still waiting for notification when TPM modules come back in stock... . Once Windows 11 'goes public' we will need to have systems that qualify or put the one's that don't back to Windows 10.

Looks like most of your peripherals will at least move over to a newer system and your drives if you decide you really need Windows 11 for the things you are doing.
