Fingerprint Sensor Not Working After Windows 11 Update

I have an Asus Vivobook 14 X413JA.

Yesterday, I downloaded the windows 11 insider preview build from the dev channel, but I was disappointed to find that windows hello couldn't recognize my fingerprint when I tried to log in.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers of my fingerprint sensor but still, it doesn't work.

I have an Acer Aspire A515-55

Window 11 PRO Version 10.0.22000 Build 22000

I have the same problem with the fingerprint reader

I downloaded the driver for this laptop from Acer and installed it for a fresh install. This did nothing.

Then I followed your instructions and my credential manager was set to "manual". I changed it to "automatic" through a local account then went back to my MS account. I removed my old fingerprint from "Windows Hello" then put a new one in. When I closed the laptop and reopened it the fingerprint reader worked. When I rebooted it would not. It seems it isn't being saved for some reason.

    in my device manager the biometric devices are not shown at all ! when i try install driver nothing happens. Same in latest windows 11 home update ... statring to get a little frustrated. Any thoughts? Cheers.

    Hi FranklinSishu,

    I would check that I am running the lates bios update, if I weren't update, then go to the device manager and un-install the Biometric drivers for finger prints (don't worry Windows will re-install them automattically after rebooting) reboot your system.
