after installing new build, all the time on startup audio system crash and I have 2 profile profile pictures instead of 1 when i enter my password.

I beta tested 8.0 when it first appeared. At first I was like a dear caught in the headlights, a little lost. Took me a while to figure out that charms are context sensitive. Finally realized the gear got me to different places depending on if I was in the start screen, desktop or an app. My daughter asked me if I wanted some old PC's her company was taking to the dumpster. I rescued three matching monitors and an old XP on an AMD 64 bit dual-core ASUS motherboard. It was really slow. So slow that I considered it unusable. I installed the 8.0 preview on it and it was so fast I soon found myself preferring it to may really fast quad core main PC. Then I added a SSD to my "Dumpster" PC and I hardly ever used the my Main PC (Windows 7). Since the Dumpster PC is now upgraded to Windows 8.1 I use it all the time. I only use the main PC as a sort of server so I can access the 6TB of disk space and the removable 3 TB USB drives I use for backups and archives. I added another HDD to the Dumpster and installed the 10 preview as dual boot on the day the preview was released. I haven't booted into 8.1 on the dumpster even once since previewing 10. I even got me a 8" tablet with 8.1. Love the freedom from the big old desktop PC and OneDrive makes it so easy to drop what I am doing on the PC and resume where I left off on the tablet. Gone are the days of Syncing and transferring files on USB. Love the ability to add or rearrange a tile on either device and having it done on all my devices. I use 5 different PC's on a daily basis. OK, 10 has plenty of bugs and there are lots of things that don't work the way I wish they would. BUT I EXPECTED THAT! And Yes, I have spent a lot of time in the feedback app. The 9860 build fixes some of the things that bothered me, but not all. That's OK! I know it will take a while to get it right. All in all, The fixes are all in the right direction. The new stuff is outstanding, several surprises. It looks like VPN's will finally be EASY FOR EVERYONE when 10 is finally finished. New stuff for WiFi, New notifications management. I'm finally ready to upgrade my main PC. Not sure if I'll put 8.1 on it now and upgrade to 10 when it is released or just wait for 10. Have to wait and see what the pricing looks like, I'm retired and on a tight budget. My only regret is having to wade through all the posts from people that want to rant about the stupid stuff they perceive as huge disasters. A lot of them don't seem at all aware that they are supposed to be helping PREVIEW a work in progress. They mostly complain about stuff they caused by using really bad software that really never was compatible with any version of windows. I've provided support for a dozen of my friends on 8 and 8.1 who did registry hacks, weird partitioning of drives with non MS partition managers, or run old versions of those **** programs you see advertised on TV that promise to "Fix your PC" or "Make it Fast" I can't convince them there is no such thin as a "Magic Button". One friend insists on installing three different anti-virus packages and two different malware programs. I can't convince him that the ones built into 8 are better than any of those. He keeps trying to install one that windows won't let him install, BECAUSE IT IS A TROGIN! I've seen them do a clean install of 8 and have every device work perfectly, then insist on running registry cleaners and that sort of junk, manually install old drivers, make the same registry hack they learned about in the days of Windows 98 and run the old "Fix your PC" type stuff written for XP. Then, after screwing up 8, they rant about how bad it is. I look forward to each update, and the final release of 10. I know it's going to be great!

9860 build is worst update. don't want "pc setting" as pc user. remove pc setting completely and improve control panel. in fact i don't want metro interface for pc. network/wifi has gone worst ever. Very Disappointing from Microsoft. :( I disagree! The Start Menu and old ways of doing things like through the Control Panel need to go! I like the Metro UI and wish there wasn't a hybrid mess of both.

I disagree! The Start Menu and old ways of doing things like through the Control Panel need to go! I like the Metro UI and wish there wasn't a hybrid mess of both.
