I clicked "add phone number" on manage how to sign in with microsoft. I then added my phone number and recieved no text. I resent the code and yet recieved no text. I restarted my phone, reset the wifi and looked at other articles with people having this problem. Nothing helped. Please don't send me the microsoft help page on this issue because that hasn't fixed the problem.

That sounds right, Reg.
Now for anyone posting replies to help, how can you ignore the clear evidence that there is something wrong on Microsoft's end. All of you "trying to help" have to realize you're not helping at all and your "solutions" just add to the frustration.
Do you hear that Microsoft? Your users are losing the will to live because you won't fix a stupid error on your end. Maybe this is what Microsoft actually wants? Ignore their customer base until they lose the will to live. Then all their remaining Microsoft Points will be recycled and never redeemed. In theory, it COULD be a reason why everyone gets ignored and the problem doesn't get solved. Not sure though. What does everyone else think?
Then i add my phone number to my Microsoft account i cant access the verification code how can i get code
You can add your phone number to your Microsoft account by the steps below, instead of the steps from Microsoft Rewards.

Additionally, recently due to server network issues, the service may be abnormal in some countries and regions, you may need to wait for a while and try again. Microsoft has received several similar feedback recently, and we are working on it.
