Why am I not getting rewards points for searches anymore?

OMG -- has anyone else noticed that "Try clearing your browser's cookies and cache" is always the only suggestion that any support people ever have for every possible problem no matter what the problem and no matter what the circumstances?

In this case, Gary might be using a single browser, but I guarantee that he would get exactly the same advice even if he explained that he had experienced the same issue using four different browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, and Opera) on three different computers -- none of which share cache or cookies. In fact he would get the same advice even if he mentioned having already cleared the cache and deleting the cookies as part of his initial question. This "cookies and cache" advice is the twenty-first century equivalent of the old (and long discredited) medical response of "take two aspirins and call us tomorrow" -- it's sole purpose it to have the person go away to preform some meaningless task in the hope that they won't come back or that the problem might be corrected (in some completely unrelated way) in the meanwhile.

It is just barely possible that clearing cookies and the cache might have solved some problem for some person some place at some time, but it is not some magic panacea*!*

This started back in December and I'm angry!! It's gotten me so depressed!! I have cleard my caches and uninstalled and reinstalled so many times and ut DOESN'T WORK!!! Microsoft just DOESN'T want to give rewards anymore!!! Plain and simple!!! Its ridiculous!!! For more than 4 years I have dine all my ooints on all platforms and I use them to get our Game Pass ultimate every month for my cancer survivor son who is now 13 and WE CAN NOT AFFORD $17 A MONTH for that si if I can't get our points we CAN NOT get the Game pass ultimate and without that ITS POINTLESS TO EVEN HAVE THIS RIDICULOUSLY PRICED CONSOLE which we could NEVER have agforded to buy!! It was given to my son through the Dreams Come True Network in Jacksonville Florida as his "wish" when goimg through 3 years of chemo!! Now he LOVES it but we CAN NOT afford the games for it so if we can't get the game pass ultimate every month he is going to be devastated!!! AND he will lose all the side add on stuff he saves his birthday/holidays money on for the games he plays free on game pass ultimate!!!!! This is ridiculous!!! This kids drops all his gift money on thus stuff and is gonna losevit now!! Just because one of the LARGEST CORPORATIONS IN THE WORLD IS BEING GREEDY AND CUTTING REWARDS BY AT LEAT 75% IN THE LAST 3 MONTHS WITH NO WARNING AND RAISING THEIR PRIVES AT THE SAME TIME,!!!! I'm ready to call the news media and bring this to their attention!!!

It's a limit now if you read through the previous comments. There is a limit to 3 searches every 15 minutes. Case is closed. Microsoft can keep their Rewards, I'm done with it. The way is shut - Gandalf

Found a work around to search not registering points. Open browser to Microsoft start. Do search get 5 points.

Bing page opens

If the rewards icon turns blue no more searches register after 3 attempts (15 points) .

Hit back arrow to Microsoft start and search from there registers.

This may be why only 15 points if rewards icon is blue.

I reached 150 points on pc searches doing it this way,

Yeah - same prob here - for the last 2 weeks. I got a bulls**t reply from Bing Support. My feeling is they're going to pull the plug on the Rewards system altogether. Grab your points and run - that's wot I'm doing!
