It's August 2022 I have the same issues it happens with calls too. I bought the Microsoft earbuds thinking they would work better and it doesn't. I have to carry the phone in my hand while walking running etc anytime I have my Bluetooth connected.
Surface Duo 2 Bluetooth Issues
When connected to a Bluetooth audio device like my car or Surface Ear Buds I have the following problem:
Connects properly without issues. Listen to music or Audible for a few minutes and the audio stops. The audio doesn't pause, the Bluetooth doesn't disconnect but the sound just stops.
Disconnecting Bluetooth in audio device and surfaceduo2 and restarting helps but the problem will repeat. Makes BT unusable.
Anyone else have this problem??

2022-05-25T14:27:06+00:00 I have decided to not use my Duo 2 as a primary phone because of the Bluetooth issues and Microsoft's lack of support, other than just sending you a refurbished phone with the same issue. This is probably my last Microsoft phone....very disappointing.

2022-05-10T18:03:25+00:00 YES, YES! I am on my second Duo 2. First one replaced by Microsoft. The sole issue was poor Bluetooth range. They replaced it and the issue is the same. On my boat, if I get more than six to eight feet from the Fusion WB670 radio, the Bluetooth streaming audio from Amazon starts breaking up. My Duo 1 did "not" have this problem. I have confirmed the issue with the Duo 2 by using my spare phone, Google Pixel 6. The Pixel 6 works great. I can even leave the boat and walk thirty to forty feet away. Microsoft, if you are listening, please help.......

2022-04-26T19:50:49+00:00 My issue is BT now only automatically connects to my car stereo about 50% of the time. Once connected, it seems ok, but I usually have to manually connect it. Such a pain.
