VPN Client Support

The info page for the new Samsung RT tablet - the ATIV tab - says:

Enterprise Solutions (upon request): Exchange ActiveSync, On-Device Encryption, Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network), Juniper Junos Pulse VPN, EAS

But the Junos Pulse client is not in the Windows Store - so either Samsung has some exclusive deal with Juniper, or this is a "coming soon" feature.

I'd like an answer. As much as I love the Surface hardware, if I cannot get the last piece of the puzzle I need for work, the Pulse client, and it is available on another vendor's tablet, I'll need to think about switching.

I would really like an answer from Microsoft on this one.

And to re-confirm - the ATIV is a Windows 8 RT tablet, NOT a Windows 8 Pro tablet.

    More information from the Cisco AnyConnect team:

    "As mentioned in the article, we can confirm that it is not possible for Cisco to provide the AnyConnect VPN functionality on Windows RT or Windows Phone at this time due to OS restrictions / API limitations. If you are interested in either of these platforms to be supported, we recommend that you reach out to your Microsoft sales team so that they can express interest on your behalf.

    Hopefully MS addresses this soon.  For a tablet that's targeted more for productivity, the lack of vpn functionality is just a major let down.

    Sadly this doesn't address your Junos VPN but provides more information for Cisco connectivity. I am glad the author is trying to follow-up with both Cisco AND Microsoft.

    No dice on the Junos connection. 

    I wouldn't be bothered by this honestly but the fact that there is a competitor to MS's hardware, but still using MS's operating system, claiming they have Junos Pulse support, when the MS product doesn't, is confusing, and would drive more Enterprise-interested users away from the Surface hardware and into the waiting arms of Samsung (and I don't much care for their hardware. I find it cheaply built).
