Type Cover not Working but ...

My type cover does not work and I left my surface aside the battery drained. I put it in the socket and the type cover worked. What will it be?

I think I tried everything I found online
- The same type cover did work in another SP4
- A different type cover didn't work in my SP4
- I tried everything inside this link https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4023473/surface-troubleshoot-your-surface-type-cover-or-keyboard
- I did reimage the SP4
- I did disable Connected Standby
Nothing worked
After 3 days of looking around for some other posible solution, I did open a support case and I'm sending my SP4 back to MS. This looks like a firmware issue
I'll let you know the outcome when my SP4 returns... (I'm going to miss it)

the answer is no and if you try to replace
the screen, you will probably brick your device completely. that is why
Microsoft doesn't replace broken screens, they replace with a refurb.
