64 bit emulator surface pro x

I have been asking this question for some time now without a viable answer.

When I was convinced to buy this item, it came with a promise of 64bit emulator being very soon to follow, however this is now eight months later and still no idea how long we will have to wait.

I know that the emulator is currently available on the insider program, but all indicators are that its even more buggy than the somewhat limited 32bit emulator.

I'm surprised that Microsoft have not resolved the issues with this device as it would seem that they intend to peruse ARM technology in many future devices.

If the current state of play continues it could spell out disaster for this platform.

I have to say that there have been many updates for the pro x and it has improved over time, however many bugs and issues still remain and customer support for the pro x is at best very poor with the staff having little knowledge of the technical issues found on a daily basis.

Customer services have so far bricked the device on three occasions requiring hours of reloading and total loss of all data and without resolving the original problem (don't let them reset your device or set up phantom accounts) this doesn't work and creates more problems.

I have to say that given the choice again this device would not be on my shopping list.

The recent updates have made improvements and the device is now more stable than it was but without 64bit bug free emulator its very limited, Great looks and feel but don't judge the book by its cover, 

If you intend to use only store apps and basic 32bit programs for surfing and emailing all is good, but for any serious use it fails badly at present, which is truly a shame as the device has great potential but is poorly supported from my own personal experience.

At present its only a little above windows other failed ARM devices using RT which of course is no longer supported.

    If you don't have Windows 11 yet and are still using Windows 10, search for the below YouTube video by Aldo James. He will walk you through the installation process. Also, you should be able to find something on Windows Central's website on how to install it.

    Be aware that once you download Microsoft's 64-bit emulator (1) you wouldn't be able to uninstall it even if you do a reset and (2) your battery life will probably decrease somewhere between 25%-35%.

    My SPX's (SQ1, 8 ram, 128 ssd) battery life went from over 10 hours to around 7 hours (YouTube viewing at 40% brightness, battery saver on). Ended up returning it to Best Buy, getting a replacement, and not installing the 64-bit emulator. Hopefully, Windows 11 improvement the situation.

    With the windows 11 install everything has improved and I’m much happier with the device now as many of the other issues I was having have all but gone,

    Not sure if the firmware update helped but windows 11 certainly has

    yes i hate to break it to you buddy.. but retail investors don't know what a "ARM Processor" is,

    this does not mean they are not "smart enough" it means its not something that would typically concern them unless they are a into technology

    most people just buy

    Hence everyone complaining about this issue

    I hope windows 11 solves it.. but wouldn't get any hopes up

    You were responding with someone else worried "basic apps don't work on their computers" comment..

    dont pretend your trying to help anyone, your just rubbing the dirt in their face,

    and being coy about it

    I totally agree but feel MS are unlikely to help in any way believe me I have tried 

    Tech support for the pro x is non existent and they cause more problems than they solve.

    I just think we got ripped off with misleading information and no replies in regards to returning or replacing the device just support bricking the machine many times and still only a developer version of 64 bit yet they have ended any and all support for 32bit 

    So as for getting any help from MS I’m with you and good luck
