Surface Pro 4 Pen needs to be re-bluetooth paired after waking up/turning on surface

Hello, 

My surface pro 4 pen needs to be re-paired via bluetooth after the computer has been sleeping/hibernating in order for the eraser button to function when clicked.  It still shows up as a connected device in the bluetooth settings, and still writes properly even when the eraser button does not work.  After removing the pen from the list of connected devices and re-pairing, everything seems to work properly but this is obviously inconvenient. Thanks for any help you can offer!

    I have noticed this same thing as well. This seems to only be a temporary fix since I believe it just causes the pen to automatically re-pair. It stops working after the next hibernate though.

    Thanks for the reply, and sorry for the late response.  I didn't use to experience the issue, but now I am and it seems to be happening a lot and very consistently.  The Surface app is telling me that the battery has 80% battery life left.  I have tried completely "forgetting" the pen and repairing it, but that is all that I have tried so far as I'm not sure what else to try. Thank you for your help! I will install the latest updates as well while I wait for your response. 

    The ONE thing I have noticed is that it seems to happen strictly after hibernates, and not sleeps. So if I force the computer to hibernate and then resume, it will not function until re-paring.

    Another thing that works, is to remove the battery from the stylus, and then reassemble the stylus... Mine worked immediately, with no other actions...

    It happens to me with my Surface 3 and surface pro pen all the time too.
