Surface Book 3 - external keyboard and mouse

I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it.  I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.

With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes.  Mouse motion ceases then resumes.

I have a video of the mouse re I continuously move the mouse in a circle

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.

I know others have seen this problem.  It should be easy to reproduce.  Can someone from Microsoft try this please.

This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

A fix for this issue is now available through Windows Update. Please review the Surface Book 3 Update History page.

I have a feeling there will never be a fix for this one.

Apple is making new amazing processors that are changing computer industry in a 1000 dollr machine.

Microsoft cant get USB ports to work in their 3000 dollar laptop in 2020 lol

    What an “amazing” company lol

How many screens do you have connected and which screens did you apply this change to?

The recommended workaround is to replace USB HID keyboard/mouse with Bluetooth HID keyboard/mouse.  So far I have connected my USB keyboard/mouse to Handheldsci BT-500 and haven't seen stutter and have asked support if the problem affects other USB.  Support have no idea as they are not told the symptoms or status of reported faults.  I suspect MS deliberately do this so no incorrect information gets out but it treats their users like mushrooms - kept in the dark and fed BS.
