I have a SB3 connected to a Surface Dock which has FullHD touch monitor, USB keyboard and mouse connected to it. I have used this setup without any issues for over 2 years with Surface Laptop 1.
With the SB3 the keyboard and mouse 'stutter' meaning characters are lost or autorepeat due to missing down or up codes. Mouse motion ceases then resumes.
I have a video of the mouse re I continuously move the mouse in a circle

I have tried plugging the mouse into one of the SB3 USB ports and get the same result.
I know others have seen this problem. It should be easy to reproduce. Can someone from Microsoft try this please.
This looks to be a level USB message handling problem. Note that the USB is not unloading.

I had been using a Logitech wired keyboard and a Logitech wireless mouse with Logitech's USB unifying receiver. Based on the information in this thread, I ordered a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard. The mouse arrived several days before the keyboard so I removed the USB receiver and replaced the Logitech mouse with the USB mouse, while continuing to use the wired USB keyboard. As soon as I removed the USB receiver and activated the Bluetooth mouse, the issue completely disappeared. I subsequently removed the wired keyboard in favor of the Bluetooth keyboard and have not seen any recurrence of the issue.
So, for some reason which I can't explain, removing the Logitech USB receiver seemed to have resolved the problem.

Hi Howard. Using bluethooth keyboard and mouse is a workaround for sure.
Unfortunalty it doesnt get rid of the problem. Most of us use USB ports.

Agreed, I was getting ahead of myself.
Replace "You can bet" with "I would expect"

I wouldn't bet anything when it comes to Microsoft.
