Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working

I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc. 

I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable. 

If anyone come across, this, please help.

    It's the end of July. Any update can microsoft provide for us to fix the issue?

    Got the same problem on my SP3 since last week. Thought my 4 year old SP3 type cover is finally dead so bought a new Signature cover but it worked only for about 30 seconds(that's probably the time needed to install the buggy driver)... now I have 2 useless cover.

    Feel I should seriously reconsider the plan to get a surface book for my next computer after reading this thread.

    why we need to pay for their faults.
