Surface Pro 4 Jul 2017 Update - Type Cover not working
I updated the latest update Jul 2017 and it bricks my type cover completely. Tried everthing, from reset, volume + and power, everthing including cleaning etc.
I just do not understand. When I did Apr 2017 update, it also half bricked it, but at least using volume+ and power helps, but now totally unusable.
If anyone come across, this, please help.

2017-08-03T04:05:58+00:00 I'm tired of researching, my only form of communication now is the Twitter of Microsoft VMPs and their engineers.

2017-08-03T03:46:05+00:00 Seems like this problem is only reported in the microsoft community. May be that is why Microsoft is silence, deafening silence!!! And not solving this problem. While trying to make the pro 4 works with the new type cover, someone must have forgotten to test the older type cover.
I think someone need to get this to the head of surface pro dept. Anyone has the contact will be great, even the CEO.

2017-08-02T21:18:06+00:00 I've been happy with my SP 4 (and keyboard cover) for about a year. Recently the keyboard cover stopped working. I can see it in the "devices" section of the settings app but no keyboard light nor does any key-press work. When closing or opening the cover I can see it hide and show on the setting screen. So the OS see's the cover. It's just not registering any action on the keyboard In the Devices portion of the Control Panel no errors show up. I tried alcohol swabs on magnets, two button reboot, normal reboot, reinstalling driver from keyboard section control panel, crying softly into my hands... so I took it into the Microsoft store.
At the MS store, they plugged in a USB diagnostics drive and found that it was a driver issue (wish I took a screen shot). We tried another keyboard and it didn't work. He said it was a recent failed MS update that probably caused the problem. They said I could leave my laptop with them for 4-5 days and they would reinstall the OS (fixing the problem) however I would need to reinstall everything. I know they rep was overworked and had other customers waiting. I know trying to solve a driver issue is a hassle. Reinstalling the OS is the default problem-solving for most tech workers but reinstalling everything is a real hardship for me. I've heavily customized my OS and REALLY REALLY don't want to spend a full day getting it back up and weeks tweaking the settings. Anybody have any ideas on how I can fix?

2017-08-01T18:22:15+00:00 What should be done?
Communication, liaison I do not know what for the engineering department, Microsoft hardware. They should know more what to do and not just us users who are looking for solutions that are not resolved.
