Surface Pro 7 and Slim Pen Stop working

I just recently purchased the Surface Pro 7 and Slim pen. I am on the third one as I have returned them and gotten a new one due to the touch screen not working. It works fine for a little while then in the middle of editing pictures or using the slim pen the touch screen and pen both stop working. I have done all of the suggested tips (Uninstalling drivers, reinstalling them, etc) and after restarting the Surface Pro 7 they work for awhile and then I'm back to having to restart to get them to work again. I am assuming now it is something with the surface slim pen interfering with the touch screen since I have been through three Pro 7s and not all of them can be messed up. Is there a way to fix this permanently without having to constantly restart my device?

I am a professional photographer and this is seriously messing with my work flow. I can not keep restarting my device every 15 to 30 minutes to get the screen and pen working again. My next step is to return both items and switch completely away from the Surfaces. I don't want to as I have had my Surface Pro 3 for years and love it but it crashed and I had to upgrade. Can anyone tell me what to try to get this issue corrected?

Call the Microsoft Tech Support number an explain that you've followed the steps to remove and add back the drivers. Tell them you need the latest driver for the intel precise touch and stylus driver version 3.0.100.241 (that is for my Surface Pro7+). They did have to remote into mine (but appear to have left the driver package in 'downloads'.

You are still under warranty, so call them and maybe point them to this thread - i'm 5 days since last restart due to an update with no issues and it was good for 4 days+ previous to that.

Post here how you get on.

The new intel driver has fixed mine so far - i had 4 days of solid use, then had to restart for an update but good since then. Version is shown above (3.0.100.241)
