Surface Book 2 battery drain whilst off

I have had a Surface Book 2 for 9 months now. It drains 5-10% battery whilst switched off every day. I know this is a common complaint, yet why is it an issue on a $4000AUD laptop?

Can I return it for a refund as it does not meet my needs?

    Hey Guys, I know some of you may have tried this already. But make sure to try and reset your PC and delete everything and get windows back up to date after resetting and reinstalling Windows. Backup any important files, and take a screen shot of your programs you've installed. All my battery issues are gone now and I have absolutely no battery drain after waking up my computer, even with Connected Standby.

    I have this issue, I'm pretty sure we all do.

    It is frustrating and entirely  wrong, on Microsoft's part, not to acknowledge it and rectify the problem.

    The one thing I would say is DON'T EVER BUY AN APPLE PRODUCT!

    There are very good actual PC's/laptops out there that are amazing products.

    It was, after all, Apple that invented the concept of releasing products that are completely dependent on 'updates' to allow them to function correctly.

    (sorry for shouting)

    I will be considering Macbook for my next laptop too but I also saw that other brands of laptops did not suffer from battery drains like Dell XPS.

    There was a call to use consumer laws for this, did anyone tried  that options alrdy? haha

    Apple computers are not experincing these issues. My next PC that i will be purchasing next week will definately be a MAC. Microsoft has lost my business forever. All of their surface books are defective and they will not fix them because people still buy them anyway. The only way to get through to Microscam is to stop purchasing their defective products

    I have now made a complaint over the phone with Microsoft Support and the consultant asked me to;

    1. Run battery report and said batteries are in good condition.
    2. Run diagnostics and the monitor SB2 for like a week. It still had around 5% battery drain per day.
    3. Perform a USB recovery. Still the same issue.

    Haven't heard from them since the recovery, although I have sent an email.

    This being a known issue, I don't understand why Microsoft is not providing a sustainable solution. I'm going to push for this, because my warranty will run out in couple of months. I suggest everyone to call Microsoft Support and report the issue. I'm also going to look at consumer law if they are not going to provide a solution.
