Surface Go - Zoom Meetings

Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Surface Go for work purposes. 

I am wanting to use Zoom Meetings however when I try start/ join a meeting the computer wants me to run it through an application. When I search for an application, nothing comes up.

I have tried downloading "Teams" to then link with my Zoom account, and run Zoom through this application.

I have managed to link the account, however when I try start/ join a meeting, the same request comes up, asking me to run Zoom through another application.

Does anyone have any experience with using Zoom on a Surface Go at all? Is it doable?

Thank you for your response.

It seems that there is no Zoom app available in the Microsoft Store app and I don't think you can use Microsoft Teams as the app to run for Zoom meetings. You may consider using the Zoom web client which works with the new Microsoft Edge and doesn't require switching out of S mode or if you need more advanced features you may need to switch out of S mode for you to install and run the Zoom app on your Surface Go if necessary.

Microsoft - how quickly can you arrange for the ZOOM Cloud Meetings app to be available from the Microsoft Store. Zoom is essential, but I also do not want to leave S Mode. 

This is up to the app developer (Zoom), not Microsoft. Zoom has to create a
compatible app and get it certified by the Store.

    Thanks for your suggestion.  It doesn't work.  I don't have Chrome on my older Surface, and can't install it, as noted by another user.

    Frustrating, and I will be more careful in my purchases in the future.  I get the thing about lack of security for Zoom, but I'm only doing social stuff, e.g., exercise classes.

    I downloaded a plug-in/estension for Chrome browser (Explorer not available) that allows you to run Zoom meetings on Microsoft Surface through the browser rather than an app.  Download available on Zoom download center page: https://zoom.us/download#outlook_plugin

    BTW, APPLE controls as much as Microsoft if not moreso. Sheep buy all the iphone products, so APPS are now built more (independently) for iphone/android because of the phone market.  I try to remain loyal to microsoft, because i know and like their computers, but agree that the lack of APPS developed for the platform is a drawback.  unfortunately that's on individual APP builders, such as Zoom.  As was noted here though, Teams is a secure (more secure) product that does a lot more than video conference, but is focused more on business than personal use.  Zoom is just the hot freebie tool that has risen to the top in the pandemic, but again, security and privacy are a concern.

    The problem is no only on surface go. I just bought an hp laptop loaded with windows 10 S mode and if also has this problem with zoom.
