Unable to load "Switch Out of S Mode" screen in Microsoft Store

I recently purchased a Microsoft Surface Go for travel, and although I'm enjoying it thus far there is a need to switch out of S Mode to install one or two additional programs. I've followed all of the steps to reach the "Switch Out of S Mode" screen in the Microsoft Store, however, the page never loads. Instead, it shows a blank store screen. Is there any other method to reach this area of the store?

Additionally, I've tried prior to updating Windows and after updating Windows with no luck.

8/1 Update:

Thank you for your feedback. We have completed our investigation and have published an updated version of the Microsoft Store app which includes a fix for this issue. To install this update:

From the taskbar, open Microsoft Store. Select More ...  > Downloads and updates > Get updates. Install available updates, including Microsoft Store version 11906.1001.24.0 (or later). For more help installing Microsoft Store updates, see Get updates for apps and games in Microsoft Store.

Hi Greg (and whoever else is following this),

It's now been 2 weeks since the "fix" was published and I (and evidently a number of others) STILL haven't been able to get it! We have all tried every suggestion that's been posted and are still unable to obtain the fix so that we can get out of S mode and install some needed applications.

What can we do?  Is there any other way to get the updated Microsoft Store app?  When are we going to get something that works?

    Greg,

I'm still having trouble getting the fix, but just wanted to let you know one other thing I tried (unsuccessfully).  In addition to my Surface Go (which is the problem), I have a desktop (core I7) and two laptops.  All three of them have version 11906.1001.24.0 and just for something else to try, I went to Microsoft Store > Downloads and updates > clicked on Microsoft Store and "..." selected "Install on my devices" and selected my new Surface Go > install now.  It said "Thank you! We're attempting to install on your selected device(s)"

I then went to my Surface Go.  It said it was just update moments ago, but STILL has version 11906.1001.18.0

I've tried everything that's been suggested and just can't get that new version!

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you are still having trouble. Is it just the Store app that is not updating or are other apps also having trouble? Here is what I suggest trying:

    Run the troubleshooter:

Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot, and then from the list select Windows Store apps > Run the troubleshooter

If that doesn't work try resetting the Store:

Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Apps and then from the list select Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Reset

More suggestions -> Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store

    Hope this helps,

    Greg

Running the troubleshooter says "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem".

When I try "Select the Start button, and then select Settings > Apps and then from the list select Microsoft Store > Advanced Options > Reset", it looks like it is doing something, and shows that the Microsoft Store app was "Modified moments ago", but it is still version 11906.1001.18.0.

I have installed other apps from the store, but have been trying to get out of S mode and since the fix for that is to get the new version of the Microsoft Store app, that has been my primary issue.

I have also noticed several other people reporting they are having the same issue of not being able to get the fix.
