Why do you think it is a hardware issue? As far as I know, it affects all Surface Pro 4 PCs. Even if that were not the case, I would suspect this is a software problem that is drawing power when Windows is shutdown.
Battery Drains While Shutdown
I have read many posts and made many attempts to correct this problem without any success.
I was traveling for 3 months and when I returned the battery was completely dead.
Also, each night since my return, the battery drains as much as 12% overnight while shutdown.
I have all MS updates but the problem continues.
Please advise.
THX! :)

2019-07-17T22:17:02+00:00 I've pretty much tried ALL of the potential solutions and none of it fixed my battery drain issue.
I now strongly believe this is a hardware issue.
Will I ever buy another surface product? Hell no!
