Surface 8 Pro - new SSD - compatibility with PCIe 4

Hello,

is the Surface 8 Pro compatible with PCIe 4 drives or can I only use PCIe 3 ssd?

If not all drives are compatible, which drives work?

    Well, I have the same issue with my Surface 9 2tb wd740.

    A lot of bsods during the installation of Windows.

    Then turned both parameters in electricity plan as it was discussed above.

    Now I still have bsods twice-three times a day.

    windows updates are installed....

    Any more ideas? I ve tired of it( And I dont wont to return to my 256gb)

    Maybe really reinstall the system with the scripts above? Or they just change electricity parameters which i ve already changed?

    I've contacted Surface's support center, and asked for help.

    Got this a response stating to reinstall windows, and if it doesn't solve means SSD is damaged.

    Need help from everyone to open a support ticket, so we can make our case.

    let's make a appeal to Microsoft to solve this problem, it makes no sense to wait passively, automatic switching of the screen refresh rate from 120 to 60 did not appear after a year

    Did same thing, it works usinbg WD SN740 1Tb, but I'm facing issues when SP8 sleeps and try to wake... it reboots =(

    Finally, I found how to solve the problem with the trick posted by Getter Robot in the 31th december 2022:

    1. Enable "Link State Power Management" option in Power Options.

    1. Choose "Off" for "Link State Power Management".
    2. Reboot.

    And now everythings are ok with the WD SN740 1Tb.
