Surface Pro 4, Screen Flickering, Shaking

I purchased SP4 device a few months ago and it was working fine for a month. Then I noticed that when the CPU is at its max, the screen flickers a bit. Investigating further revealed that it flickers even if it is setting idle. It does not flicker if at least one of the following thing is done:

A video being played in browser
If I keep the touch screen busy by either taping it or keeping a finger on it
If I use the touchpad
If keyboard is used for typing

This resulted in making the device completely unusable while reading articles or ebooks. I am a developer, most of the time I have to read the code and to do that, I have to constantly keep a finger on the touch pad or the screen. I contacted surface support in October and November and was told that the developers are working on the patch. Looking at the updates the developers are pushing since then, I don't think anyone is even aware of the problem there.

Just wondering if anyone else had the same problem (and the fix) and if not, what's the procedure for the refund? I will rather go for a mac then sacrificing $2000+ for a dancing screen.

I bought my SF4 on 30th July 2016 ...spending U$1500 in a product which is useless after 1 year.

Same issue screen flickering once the GPU heats up. The worst thing is that I've send it to Microsoft 2 months back when the warranty was alive. Then I've got it back a couple of weeks ago and the issue still alive and the warranty has died...

Is there any solution from your site Microsoft?

This is unfair...

Yeah I always loved the concept that surface brought to the market. I bought the surface 2, surface pro 3 and now surface pro 4. This one will be the last surface I get.

I am hoping to see the tablet eve V as a better alternative to the surface, I will wait for a few reviews.

After seeing the thermal images just before crashing I was sure / hoping that it was due to a change to DK keyboard back in May. But still without keyboard attached it gets extremely hot just above the F7 Key.

I think we all bought this laptop to get "the cream of the crops". In my case it lasted a happy 13 months and was the fastest, strongest and most reliable lap top I have owned - then suddenly things changed and now the most hated.

Software/hardware/cleaning due to minimum size? Nobody seems to know...

Respect less from MS!

For now I will leave my SP4 and go hunting for something reliable since that was what I needed and a "lessons learned" to not trust MS themselves in the future.
