Intel have released another new driver... lets see how this goes.
Surface Laptop 3 - Event 4101 "Display driver igfxn stopped responding and has successfully recovered."
Hi Everyone,
Has anyone been seeing intermittent Event 4101 "Display driver igfxn stopped responding and has successfully recovered" on surface laptop 3?
Tried all the surface diagnostics tools - all clean. Uninstalled device, reinstalled. - no joy.
Not had the laptop that long so not sure if updating to the latest surface firmware is the cause.
Not sure where to go from here. It happen maybe once every few days of constant use - very brief display blanking then recovers.
Is this a driver issue with the latest intel build? Or hardware issue? Nothing else wrong with the laptop.

2020-06-01T05:47:51+00:00 I can confirm the issue is still happening, though I would say the frequency isn't as often with the new firmware.

2020-05-29T18:34:08+00:00 Hi All,
I purchased a Surface Laptop 3 a week ago.
I'm having the same issues. Also tried today to install the latest windows drivers, but as others reported, it didn't help.
Thanks

2020-05-28T01:31:38+00:00 I just noticed a couple firmware updates today for my SL3. Not sure what they fix exactly, but hoping this is addressed.

2020-05-27T14:27:28+00:00 thanks, appreciate it. It looks like it is fixable so I will do so but it has just been a disappointing (to say the least) and annoying experience. I had been spoiled, the string of thinkpads to surfaces of continual upgrade and not missing my last computer was broken with this one. Such is life but MS / Intel do not want too many biffs like this.
