cameras are not working on my Surface PRO X device. [Answered]

Error code 0xA00F4271<MediaCaptureFailedEvent> (0x80004005).

I've run trough the Get Help App on my device but after following all the steps camera is still not running.

Any help?

We are aware that customers using Surface Pro X were having issues using the built-in cameras and we have resolved this issue with a driver update.   Please go to Windows Update to install the new driver named Microsoft Corporation – System Hardware Update – 5/26/2023.

    Don't forget the issues with authentications to VPN services and radius, that reply on date time to be within certain limits .. :/

    All we can really do is change the date on our own computers.

    -Right click the clock in the bottom right corner and select "Adjust Date & Time."

    -Toggle "Set time automatically" to off. This should be at the top.

    -"Set the date and time manually" a few lines down should become ungreyed. Click on "Change."
    -From there, you can roll it back to whichever date you wish. Any date before 23rd of May, 2023 should work.

    With this workaround, you should be able to access your camera. However, you might run into issues with some websites due to the discrepancy with the date.

    No they know it’s a security certificate. Hope they are working on it. Been down for a bit. Work around is to daye calander to may22 won’t recommend that will cause issues in other areas.
