I just had my first restart with the same error in the log :(. I think, that it got better though, but it did not solve the problem completely.
Whoops, I take it back. Second restart in short time :(.

I just noticed this recently but sometimes I get a Random reboot not even doing anything particular. I also noticed twice that when I attached my Type Cover 2 it reboots. Example I attached it and the SURFACE logo shows and it boots up.
Anyone else experiencing this.?

Thanks for the info! I tried it out and will report, if it worked. Thank you very much!
Thanks, Mark. This might have worked for me. I haven't had a reboot since I tried it this afternoon. I checked my event log, and I haven't had one of the kernel-power events since then, either. I did notice one of them this morning at about the time I first turned it on, but it didn't do anything
Glad it seems to be working.
Let me know if all works ok for a couple of days and I will update my case with Microsoft to say that it appears to have fixed the issue.
I've still had no restart after getting one at least once a day when using it. So it must have done something.

Makes you wonder why Microsoft doesn't submit help to this thread? :) Its easy to tell how much a company cares after they take your money I suppose.
I think they have some sort of repository for issues and the solutions but I agree that they should use the MS Answers pages more.
I have found that their customer service is actually really good - I've never had an issue with it.
