Surface Pro 7 Freezing and Restarting

I just purchased the Microsoft Surface Pro 7 and have only been using it for one day. In that time it has frozen and completely restarted itself 4 times. It is brand new and I probably only have an hour or two or screen time. There is no specific thing that causes it, the screen just randomly freezes until the surface restarts on it's own. Any solutions or help would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a Surface Pro 7 and after a week was totally frustrated with it crashing and freezing. I spent 2 hours online with support trouble shooting and when we were finished it still crashed and froze. I returned it for a new on and it did the same thing. I was really disappointed since I have had a Surface Pro 4 for several years and loved it. I think you should stop selling them until the issue is fixed. It was suggested that I get the X - anyone had an experience with it?

I have tried multiple ways of resolving this and it still won't go away. Can I return the product for a full refund even if it was purchased in November 2019 and how do I go about it?

I suggest you chat to a Microsoft agent about the problem and making a return.

    Go to support.microsoft.com/en-gb/contactus

    Click on "Contact support"

Type in "Talk to a person"

and follow from there the obvious menu choices. I find that the wait time is short.

I would encourage others to report this fault to Microsoft by chat. I have no idea if anyone from Microsoft actually ever reads customer post on answers.microsoft.com. One can also report problems by typing "Feedback Hub" in the Windows search box.

I updated windows and firmware but have the same problem. I'm not sure this problem will be solved or not. I think I should return it.

It's interesting that the newer app called "Intel Graphics Command Center (beta)" no longer permits turning off Panel Self Refresh under Plugged In conditions as the non-beta version does.
