Marvell Semiconductor, Inc. – Net – 15.68.17013.110 WiFi driver breaks 5GHz connection on the Surface Book (1st Gen i5 with dGPU 256 GB)

make sure you still have this MSI file. Go into device manager and UNINSTALL the
Marvell Wireless again and check the box to delete the driver. Now run the MSI,
restart your Surface. Can you then join 5GHz networks?

This problem is happening again for a second time on Surface Pro 5, after fixing it 3 weeks ago (Sept 2/2019)

Happened again after getting a notice on Taskbar to re-start, to install a forced system update (before actually re-starting and installing). Then, Re-starting and installing the update did not help, which means driver went back to the problematic driver from August 2019.

-2.4 and 5Ghz not working, I can't see any available WiFi networks 

-I can't roll back driver, option is greyed out

Tried on 2-Sept:

-Rolled back driver, did not work, problem re-occurred

-I reinstalled ALL Surface Pro 5 drivers, it then worked, but I connected only to 2.4Ghz

EDIT:

Tried on 20-Sept:

-Tried uninstalling driver, and re-starting, Wifi worked for 5 secs, problem re-occurred (Did not work)

-Tried installing WiFi driver SurfacePro_WIFI_Win10_15063_1804907_1.msi (Did not work, said I already had a newer version)

-Tried Installing latest driver file SurfacePro_Win10_18362_19.083.29712.0.msi -Only got option to "Remove Update", removed it, restarted (Did not work)

-Tried again installing WiFi driver SurfacePro_WIFI_Win10_15063_1804907_1.msi - Allowed to installed, re-started (Worked connecting to 2.4Ghz, After trying 5Ghz some problems re-occur, and then work again...)

Problems Persisting:

-Had to re-enter in WIFI passwords, so it seems all networks/passwords are forgotten,

-The Driver is still listed as the same 15.68.17013.110, so I wonder if this will happen again...

EDIT 2:

-Yup... 5 minutes later, the WIFI drops and all networks disappear as before, then re-loads itself and re-connects... (working for now...)

-Windows is asking me to install updates again, so I paused updates for 7 days.... (since you guys update monthly shouldn't we be able to pause for longer, what's the likelihood of a fix in 7 days, when it's been a couple months)

@MICROSOFT, please don't force these updates with broken drivers two months in a row!

I have the same problem with surface pro 5. 

Only some wifi networks with 5GHz can not be connected. 

As many of others saying that it worked after rolling back to the older version for the driver, I also wanted to try that but the button for rolling back is kinda blocked. 

Neither rolling back can be done, nor driver update can be done. 

Is there anyone has the same as mine? Anyone successful to fix that without rolling back?

All I can do now is just wait until Microsoft uploads the fixed version of driver.

I have the same problem with my Surface Book 2 (i5-128gb). Not only does my WiFi not work, but my Bluetooth also stops working too. I had to rollback both Bluetooth and WiFi Drivers to get them working again. As of today 9/17/2019. my WiFi driver is the only problem I have, they seem to have fixed the Bluetooth problem.
