Mine is not a night light. It seems to burn into the screen the longer it is on the darker it gets.
Yellow tint on Surface Book Screen
I have a really noticeable yellow tint stain on all sides of my Surface Book. I spent well over 3 grand roughly a year or two ago on this "State of the Art" machine and now this? I need this fixed - how do I get this resolved? If its past the time limits you still need to fix this issue, I have seen too many posts on this now and it seems like faulty equipment - not something we should have to have already on this machine we invested so much into!!

2019-05-02T08:02:43+00:00 Initially, I talked to the Microsoft Customer Service who transferred me to the Surface Customer Support folks. The individual I was working with was unable to see the yellow lines because it was a hardware problem and not software. They recommended I take it to the nearest Microsoft Store. I didn't make an appointment I just took my Surface along with the power supply to the local store. The first time they checked it out but did not offer to replace it or repair it because my warranty had expired and I refuse to pay an additional $599 to replace my Surface with a limited warranty. The next time I took it back to the store because my Surface just completely shut down and once again no help only the $599 replacement cost.
I guess it all depend on where you are living because some people have been able to get their Surface replaced for the same issues I'm having and their warranty had expired. My issue has been escalated and now I have to ship my Surface back to Microsoft because I tried to turn it on again and it actually starting smoking. I'll post and update once everything is settled.

2019-05-01T17:15:09+00:00 Hi, sorry if this is a dumb question but I am a fresh adult and have never had my own laptop before to take care of.. How did you bring your laptop in for them to check? Did you have to schedule an appointment with the Answer Desk? Or is that just for Windows 10 issues? Did you call 1-877 number the customer support? Or did you just straight up walk in and say "hey I need help with my laptop, please check it" and they did? I don't want to call the wrong people or schedule an appointment where they can't help me so I don't bother anyone who could be helping other people..

PLEASE do not plug in. This is extremely dangerous.
