If i leave the machine plugged and let it go to sleep i don't have the issue (don't close the lid). If it goes into hibernate it crashes every single time. I have had to way of avoiding the crash when on battery. This has been going on for a while and surprised someone from Microsoft has not responded on this thread.
I take it back. It is still crashing no matter what i do and what setting. UGH
Same here. I still have sleep crashes at random. Sometimes its fine, other days, it crashes every. single. time. it. sleeps. or. hibernates. I really want an answer or at least an acknowledgement from MS on this issue. It is absolutely, hands-down the most annoying, obnoxious, drive-you-insane, make you want to scream and rip your hair out problem I have ever encountered with a Surface device. And I've owned quite a few Surfaces now...
It is 2016, MS. I should NOT have to shut my computer down every time I need to walk away from it for 5 minutes. Seriously. My $700 Samsung phone can manage to sleep without shutting down, why can't my $1,900 Surface Book do the same?
