DId anyone else experience random shutdowns and/or reboots not coming up again after the update may 30 2023? Display showing the option of retrying oder factory reset.
Saw also some postings on reddit regarding this new issue.

Thank you for your patience while we have investigated Surface Duo devices that would restart after the May 30th, 2023 update. The June 26th, 2023 update improves system stability. See Update Surface Duo for more info on how to update your Surface Duo or Surface Duo 2.

I am now experiencing random, but infrequent, abilities to get the phone (Surface Duo 2) working when connected to an outside power source. The battery life is saying ~60%, but, if I unplug it, there is no ability to reboot for up to 24 hours. After booting up the phone seems to work fine when connected to external battery via USB C connector with Wi-Fi or broadband internet connection via T-Mobile. I can close the phone as long as I don't dislodge the charging cable, and it will restart. Is anyone else experiencing this issue with their Duo 2? And, I keep trying to find an update each time I can get it to boot up, but no luck. It keeps saying May 1 as last Android 12L update. No mention of the May 30 patch/crash listed.
Out of warranty...
What to do?
I turned my vpn off, and that seemed to work. But I will need my vpn, so I don't need that to be a permanent solution. I need them to really fix this. Thanks for your help!
Microsoft doesn't seem concerned that the few people that loved this device are more unable to use them in a stable manner. I'm afraid that I can no longer accept this level of poor customer service. Guess when the three fold 5 comes out, I'll need to consider it.
This days not using VPN is the deal breaker. The Microsoft need to fixing this. 😩
