Surface Duo shutdown when not in use

Hi everbody, 

since about two weeks I`m a proud owner of Surface Duo and it's doing really fine.

The only topic I've found: everytime the Duo is not in use for hours (e. g. over night) it shuts down itself. 

When it is in use it works proberly. 

Does anyone else has such a problem?

    Just following the thread on several reports of the annoying and unpredictable Surface Duo shutdowns, which I have also experienced but only two times since getting the February update couple of weeks ago, I wonder if my practice of manually shutting down the Duo each evening might relieve the tendency of the device to shut down arbitrarily and more often. Thankfully, my Duo has now settled down and performs very reliably of late. DeWitt Thompson

    January Update, yes, same issue still exists. I missed an important phone call due to this today. I'm also experiencing a lot more difficulty with the phone properly unlocking when opening. It gets stuck on the peek display and won't unlock. I have to close an open a time or two more to get in. I've held out hopes MS would get this wonderful device to a stable state, but I'm about done waiting and riding out the rappids. About to move my SIM back to my Note 9.

    I am not sure if there is a direct connection to Duo stability, but I have noticed that my Duo seems to be a bit more reliable and less "buggy" ever since I started using a holster attached to by belt instead of keeping the Duo in my pants pocket.  Here is a link to the holster I purchased:  Microsoft Surface Duo Smartphone Holster (tuffasnuts.com)
