Hi Barb,
Yes, I am running the latest release of Windows 10, version 1511. The OS build is shown as 10586.29.
The wireless card driver has a build date of 9/18/2015, and is version 15.68.9032.47.
I have tried what you previously suggested (setting the channels on the 5 GHz band) and that didn't seem to help any. My 5 GHz network is the only one that I can see on any of my devices, and I don't have anything else that operates in that band that would
be causing interference (no cordless phones, etc).
Interestingly enough, last night I was getting about 4 Mbps on the 5 GHz band, and this continued even after I moved closer to the router. Switching over to 2.4 I immediately got 98 Mbps from the same speed test site.
So, it doesn't appear to be only related to signal strength as I previously figured. I was on battery at the time, so maybe it is something with the power management and poor signal?
Regardless, the WiFi on this thing seems to be very touchy and performs poorly sometimes for no apparent reason.
I will do some more testing tonight and report back.
Thanks!
