Surface Pro Pen pressure sensitivity is not working in photoshop CS6.

Microsoft already stated that they were "testing drivers". I asked for a beta driver and was told that they would pass the request along. Of course there was no follow up and no driver has been made available. There is no transparency on this issue. Clearly there is something amiss. I wish Microsoft would come clean and give a REAL status update and provide a beta driver.

Wacom just released info on the 13HD today, and they have a tablet coming this summer? Maybe we have our answer right in front of us. Why play ball now? Why not hold out till this Fall to offer driver support? Wacom may be protecting their own interests here. If they release drivers to make the Surface the portable Cintiq a lot of us have been waiting for, they might be cutting their own throats before they release a product of their own.

This doesn't seem like a problem that microsoft would fix in house.  Im guessing that wacom is having to work on drivers that supports the hardware inside the surface pro.  I can understand why a specific answer could be illusive if this is the case.  This problem has to be worked out through 2 layers of corporate bureaucracy(microsoft and wacom).  

If wacom is doing the work on the drivers, it could take some time.  They have to first assign a team of programmers to start working on the surface drivers as well as employ a team of people can bug test the drivers.  Considering the surface is likely a device that cant get a quick fix to work with the generic wacom drivers, it will probably take some time to get drivers finalized to work specifically with the surface pen and hardware.

I am sadly past the return deadline. I bought the Pro because I wanted a very

portable/ultra portable that I could use when away from home for photo editing

as well as regular tasks. If I could return it, I would. I do not believe that

Microsoft will deliver these Wacom Wintab drivers.

Barb, I can't say how much I've appreciated all of the poking and prodding you've done for us forum trolls out there. I have been watching this thread like a hawk, and once I heard that Microsoft was working on getting the WinTab drivers working (primarily thanks to you) I actually picked up a Surface Pro for all of my digital art needs with hopes that sometime in the future I will finally get pressure sensitivity in Photoshop and other Adobe products. I am now 6 days away from my 15 day grace period. I was hoping to either hear that FOR SURE Surface Pro would get the pressure sensitivity fix for Adobe products by then OR hear details on Wacom's tablet PC device coming this summer.

With that said, yes I am a little disappointed that there has been no news on either item and as the deadline draws closer I will be "stuck" with my decision. But if that does happen, I actually won't be upset with my choice. In the past 8 days, I can tell you that I have been more productive than I've been in the past 3 months! I think we can all have a little faith in the fact that at its core, this is a full Windows "laptop" in a compact tablet form. If Microsoft doesn't figure it out in the next few weeks, there most certainly will be someone out there who WILL figure it out. May not be next month or in the next 6 months, but as Windows 8 is more readily adopted, more users will either speak up or come up with their own fixes. Even if THAT doesn't happen, again, this little machine has already surprised me beyond belief. I know it's tough being an early adopter, but at some point you have to own it, be happy with your decision, and not continuously think the grass is greener on the other side. I know it's a soap box speech, but honestly I can say I am extremely happy with my Surface Pro. 

Barb, you do such an awesome job digging in, finding out the details, and getting answers (or half-answers) from people. I look forward to any more research you continue to do on this topic!
