Surface Pro Pen pressure sensitivity is not working in photoshop CS6.

One thing I would like to suggest is for Microsoft to release a WinTab driver for the their MS Ink API to translate the MS Ink output into WinTab.  This would allow all WinTab supporting applications to work with all Windows 8 pen enabled devices using both Wacom and N-Trig technologies.  It would be the magic bullet to solve most of the issues other devices are also having.

I know. I am trying to stay objetive and think independently about what can fulfill my needs for work and hobbies. I don't like people to worship one brand and attack another, like they are watching college football games, and I never consider "ipad mini and ultrabook" as an option, because I already have an iPad, and a Macbook pro. Plus, it just doesn't add up like that, and even it can, the pen is still missing. 

S.pro is good, I say, but I am still not going to buy it if the pen can't perform functionally in Zbrush and Photoshop, and I am surprised that the marketing person of MS is lack of sensitivity about how important this function is, and they just released their signature and long-promoted product like that? Or maybe something is behind it, because they never promoted their pen about the "pressure sensitive" function, not in their conference, and not on their website of product description. I didn't know that it has this function until I tried it in MS store, and the store assistances knew nothing about it. I don't know if it has anything to do with their contract with Wacom in order to avoid hurting the sells of Cintiq product line or they just don't think people would care to use that pen in some popular apps until you guys brought it up. I don't know,  it's just something I sensed, hypothetically.

Hope they will have the drivers ready asap.

For me, that digitizer is a huge selling point for S.Pro. I am not fan of any brand, and what I am looking for is simply a high cost/performance ratio for any electronic products. Look how much a Cintiq would cost ya. Besides the pen, the only compromise for me is the battery life, but I understand that it is an i5, not some low horse power atom chip, and I can definitely live with that if the pen works.

  I have been Googling about "Surface pro; zbrush review" since it was released, but found nothing. No wonder I got zero feedback. I am very thankful that you guys've addressed this issue and gotten MS's attention. 

It is one of the biggest reasons that I am willing to buy this product, even though ALL of my Silicon Valley friends told me not to. One of my friends who is actually working for MS in Seattle suggested me to buy a ultrabook and a ipad mini instead with that kind of money. But hey, they forgot this thing has a pressure-sensitive pen that I can put in a good use when I am doing CG work, which they don't really need much when they are coding, so I don't blame them. But without the fully functional stylus, I ain't buying this, because there is no point anymore. I guess most of the artists in this thread would agree with me.

Don't be fooled by the flood of negative reviews. This is an incredible device. If they ever get the Wintab drivers fixed, it will be an artist's dream. It's powerful, quiet, portable, and pretty much every sacrifice that an artist would want them to make they made. For instance, people fuss about the pen not having a silo. But they did that in order to have a full sized comfortable pen. The list goes on.

It kills me when people say that you could get an ipad and an ultrabook for this price. This criticism was far more true of the iPad when it came out. Did the iPad do anything that you couldn't already do with a notebook and an iPhone? Not at all. The only thing it had was a larger screen. But in the end, that made a big difference and opened up new possibilities. The Surface Pro is even more so. It doesn't have to be better at being an ultrabook than the best ultrabook, and better at being a tablet than the best tablet. It has to combine both in a way that changes your life. And for many of us, it does just that.

I love mine. I really don't want to return it. But I need those drivers...
