Where are you attaching your pen tab to your Surface Pro 3?

The pen tab is designed to be attached to the keyboard. But when I detach the Pro3 from the keyboard I no longer have access to the pen. On my Surface Pro 1 I attached a loop to the right side which worked except when I put it in the docking station.

What are you doing to store your pen?

    I followed first suggestion put also put the sticky loop on the cover to more fully secure it.

    My Surface Pro 3 keyboard came with a color coordinated tab which can be attached anywhere on the keyboard.  Where is the best place to place it and why?

    That solution look best, especially when you have a docking station. I was contemplating putting the loop up above the camera, but haven't committed yet...

    I've found that it fits great when you close the keyboard and slide the pen clip between the keyboard cover and screen.  Pen fits nicely in the outside groove.

    Have you had any issue with it falling off?  I thought about doing the exact same thing, because this seems the natural place for the pen to go.

    No problems yet, I'm kind of surprised at how well it holds.  I think the kickstand helps a lot when its closed.  If I do it again, I will cut less off so it sticks out a bit more.  That way it wouldn't be so tight in the dock with the pen attached.

    So. If I dont have the dock, I could cut a little more to be a little closer to the surface and doesn't move like it does on the keyboard, right?

    Correct.  Mine ended up falling off.  Lasted longer than I thought it would so I may add another...
