BTW, the related issue is very very slow wireless connection to TV with Intel Miracast module (even when I use Microsoft's WIreless Display Adapter too). So I can't use the SB2 for presentations.
Slow Wifi with brand new Surface Book 2!!!
I am so beyond disappointed!! I bought one of the most expensive versions of the Surface Book 2 (i7, 15 inches, 512 GB) and it its wifi connection is only half the speed of my old i5 and i3 laptops!!! IT IS UNACCEPTABLE for the price I paid (almost 3000 dollars for the computer, and if you add accessories and extended warranty, more than 3600!!).
I have tried everything: resetting the network, reinstalling the wireless adapter drivers, resetting windows from scratch...everything!. I have a 100 Mbps connection at home and all my laptops and smartphones get wifi speeds around 45-50 Mbps, but the SB2 gets 20 Mbps and most of the time it does not even get to 10 Mbps.
I have been reading many other testimonies online of people experiencing the same. I feel scammed.
Not only that, it also seems that there is some kind of incompatibility with the design software I use (Sketchup and Vray). They work flawlessly in my older computers. They crash all the time with the Surface Book 2.
Seriously thinking about returning it. They pull you in with the shiny exterior, but it is a substandard product.

2019-05-13T21:49:52+00:00 Yup, reinstall windows or replace the unit. They dont understand that there are software/firmware/driver/potentially hardware issues that will not be magically resolved by a reinstall/device swap. I recently was able to escalate some things to Tier 2 and 3 support but so far nothing resolved and they had me jump through some ridiculous hoops that I have played along with.

2019-05-13T21:37:52+00:00 When I talked to service department, I referred them to this and 2 other community boards. They didn't seem to care and insisted the only fix was to replace the unit. I refused knowing full well the next refurbished unit would have the same issue. Fraud in my opinion.

2019-05-13T21:25:27+00:00 The fact remains Microsoft is ignoring the issue. I would suggest everyone who has been ripped off by microsoft get the word out, so that more people aren't. The SB2 is flawed.
They are not only ignoring this issue but MANY other CRITICAL issues. Its RIDICULOUS. I agree that Microsoft is selling a flawed device.
