constant PFN_LIST_CORRUPT BSOD on surface pro 7

I have a surface pro 7 that I use 90% of the time for taking notes. I've noticed that about once every week, immediately after using the camera in Onenote for Windows 10 I get a PFN_LIST_CORRUPT blue screen. This happens when onenote is syncing with onedrive, after the camera app has shut down. This doesn't occur every time I use the camera, and so far I have only seen this BSOD while using onenote.     Actually front cam is also a subject to this issue. I usually have bsod with front cam while on meeting or “Face ID”

    That's weird, this has never happened to me, even after using Teams for months. Why does this happen to you but not to me on three separate devices?

    Hi,

    I've finally got some good news, for a change.

    Yesterday and the day before that, two separate Microsoft support agents checked with the hardware team, and it turns out the issue isn't just known anymore, but it's known to be widespread and they have acknowledged that it is not a hardware issue, so they are working on a fix for it.

    Hi DanielYu3,

    Could you answer the questions in my previous posts? It would be super useful because this has got to be an issue related to something in software, as it happens on replacement devices too, but not to everyone. It would help isolating the issue to fix it.

    So after several months of silence I have returned to this thread.

    20h2, if anything, has made this problem even worse. Right now I get this BSOD every one out of five times I use the camera.

    for those of you surface users still on 1909 or earlier I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you to avoid updating to 2004 or later if you are reliant on the camera.

    According to statistics I managed to collect It happens everytime when: user1 logs in for the first time after the device rebooted. Camera is ok and Hello works fine. Then user1 locks the screen by any means either automaticaly or by pressing the button. Now user2 takes the device and logs in with Hello and it is OK again. User2 also locks the screen. Now user1 wants to login again and... camera fails after several retries. From this moment it is impossible to recover the camera. Only reboot will help.
