Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

Did anyone get a replacement for Surface Laptop 2 in Europe (Germany return center)? If so, did you receive a new or used unit?

I've shipped my SL2 for replacement for this battery issue (not planning to update the firmware until it's fixed) and a dead pixel.

    CORRECTION...

    Maybe it worked after all.

I turned the unit off last night with 100% charge remaining, and this morning I turned it on and it was still at 100%...

We shall see if it holds...

Is this a Surface specific issue, or is it also related to the Intel power management bug? I'm just curious 🤔

What's the Intel power management bug?
