Battery drain overnight while shutdown

Lately, after I shutdown (full shutdown, not sleep or hibernate) my fully charged Surface Laptop 2 at night, I turn it on in the morning and find that the battery has lost around 25% power overnight! What's going on and how can I fix this?

The laptop is only about 6 months old and the battery seems to be in good health.

This thread is REALLY long. Has anyone tried anything that worked? If so, what were the steps? I would like to try a few potential fixes!

It seems I had Updates turned on again and my Surface updated Firmware (and Windows?). Got the same problem again now, too.

    Hey Everyone,

I posted a possible "fix" on the Surface sub reddit and a couple people have reached out to me and told me it has cured their battery issues...

    Didn't work for me.

I followed these instructions to the letter, I left my Surface Pro 6 with a 100% charge last night and woke up this morning to 69% remaining...

Yes, as I've said. Disabling updates can only be a temporary workaround until MS fixes this issue. :)
