I have the power settings set to NOT restart when the power is plugged in and NOT to go into sleep mode.

Even with these settings the laptop restarts randomly. I'll be writing code and it restarts. Its random.

I got my laptop the day it came out. The issue happened within minutes of starting it up.

I'm not sure if it's the .926 network adapter or not. I can see the network adapter updated to that version on February 12th 2020. That being said it will must have been happening with the older drivers as well.

The previous post “ It looks like the problem comes from the Qualcomm atheros QCA61x4a network adapter.

When I disabled the wifi, it stopped rebooting on its own. SO, I rolled back the driver to the .916 version. The problem came from the driver version ending with .926

In the reason field I mentionned it crashed the computer.

There is a quick fix about it, disable your network adapter and by a USB wifi. It should work.”

     - is worth looking up/trying.  Don’t have to be too techie to do it.

I have the same issue. Surface Laptop 3, 15" screen, Windows 10 pro, 32 gigs of RAM. Supposed to be the flagship Surface Laptop, but so far has been only trouble. We've had the laptop for three days. It randomly restarts about twice a day. I ordered the laptop from Protected Trust who initially just referred me to Microsoft for warranty help; they are being more proactive now. Is MS phone support the best way to get action out of Microsoft on this?

I'm having the same problem. It started happening within the same week I took it out of the box. It happens about once a week to once every other week, very random but always when I'm in the middle of something important! Very frustrating!

    This is my laptop I bought: Microsoft - Surface Laptop 3 - 15" Touch-Screen - AMD Ryzen™ 5 Surface Edition - 8GB Memory - 128GB SSD (Latest Model)
