Download windows hello face recognition driver

Hi, 

Where did you buy this Surface device from? - It is possible that if you bought it used or from a (untrusted) third party retailer, the device could've been tampered with and someone could have removed some of the hardware needed for facial recognition.

I just finished reading the whole thread and have created an account for the very purpose of helping those of you who have yet to figure this out, and my solution seems too simple to be overlooked by so many people and technicians, but I will explain my circumstances first. I am running a (school issued) HP ProBook x360 440 G1 PC with windows ten education installed. The school provides domain accounts for each student, along with the built-in local administrator account.  After a few months of using the domain account, by which time I had tweaked all available settings to my preferences (among them Hello Face), I made the switch to the admin, and unjoined from the domain. I was ***stupidly*** unaware at the time that that would prevent me from logging into the domain account until I was able to reconnect to the domain network and rejoin, which will not be possible for a long while because of online learning, and so hello face started acting very strange. Because it was enabled on the domain account but not on the admin, when domain became unavailable, whenever I tried to use hello face on the admin lock screen, it would give me the reassuring wink, but it would never actually log me in without the password. After a few days with no luck fixing it, I uninstalled the face biometric device in device manager, and the whole thing crapped out and I was left with the problem on this thread, but since face was still enabled on the domain account, whenever I logged in, it would display the same warning as it does for everybody else in sign in options, but also on the lock screen, which got annoying very fast. I cant reset the pc, as I have no backups, nor devices to create backups on, nor funds to purchase storage devices, or any restore points, and I don't really want to have to reinstall all my programs, so I was stuck with that error message for a few months, until I finally fixed it today. All I did was go to settings > apps > apps and features > optional features and uninstall the windows hello face feature, and reinstall it (actually I tried just uninstalling it a couple days ago in an attempt to stop the warning, and just came back to the optional features section again today and reinstalled it to see if it would fix anything). but now I am back where I started, with the face winking, and not letting me in. So sad, but I am trying to reinstall the driver for the biometric device, but I have no idea where to find the official latest driver version online, so if anyone knows, please tell me.
