Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.

October 2019 updates

The following updates are available for all Surface Book 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    **** Microsoft needs to pay for their attitude.

    It has been months annoying it's users, and for a long time with no official reply.

    No more surface for me and every one around me after all this happened. I will never buy it, and tell every one how bad Microsoft product is.

    Microsoft should offer a compensate, may be ask for the law to help.

    Hi Entegy,

    For all Surface Book 2's with a dedicated GPU, we have a specific image that runs off a developer image for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. As Microsoft is releasing major bi-annual updates, with many smaller updates, we refresh images regularly. We have one available image completed after the May update. As we have a bunch of new grads starting in September, we've had another image that was completed at the beginning of the month. Our technical team has an older image, but that goes back to December 2017.

    I could go back to the 2017 image, but unfortunately, as I run software like Xampp, there's a lot of work I will need to re-do, and even more to backup/restore of local sites/DBs. I'll be losing a day or two of productivity easy.

    With regards to reverting to an older version, if I go to recovery options, the button "Get started" under "Go back to the previous versions of Windows 10" is disabled with the message: "This option is no longer available because your PC was updated more than 10 days ago".

    I could have reverted version. However, I didn't expect Microsoft to take so long to fix this issue. I thought it might be a few days, or a couple of weeks at most, not nearly four months.

    Another reason I guess to make sure the SB3 has thunderbolt. At least then, we could stick on an eGPU.
