Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.

October 2019 updates

The following updates are available for all Surface Book 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    Sorry, but this solution didn't work on my device. I had no disconnects, but BSODs and many many "black screens" one after another. 

    The problem with the loud fans and the heat adds up, too.

    So this solution is no real solution!

    That's a possibility,  I tried it for two weeks, the problem is the fans, are always working,  the heat is maximum and the performance is not so good. Is a possibility,  but not a good one.

    Yes , I had to copy my files and reinstall all the software again, hard work,  but no other options.

    I was in the same situation for more than two months until last week.

    The only way to solve this problems is rolling back to 1809 windows verion, THE ONLY WAY.

    is incredible how Microsoft is managing this great problem,  really sad.

    Boy, in any case, if you want to solve your situation until a fix is developed by MS roll back to 1809, no other solutions or workarounds works, nothing works, just only roll back !!!

    While I definitely feel your pain (I'm in the same boat) that's not technically true. If you make the changes to nvidia control panel indicated in the link below and can deal with the additional noise generated by your laptop it will stop the GPU from disconnecting while using graphic intensive apps that have the nvidia card set as the default device.

    To me that is a better option than rolling back which for a lot of us would mean reinstalling windows from scratch since the option to rollback to a previous version of windows disappears after a couple of weeks I believe
