Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

    Rom,
there are UMPTEEN other threads with this issue of the GPU disappearing under
load after installing 1903. In.EVERY.SINGLE.CASE going back to the prior build
of Windows fixes this issue. Sadly, for those beyond the 10 day go back, the
only solution seems to be to reimage. Why can't you collect all the threads on
this issue and merge together since the trending is so blindingly obvious? What
s engineering doing to fix this and when will there be a fix?  Here are some
    examples:

I updated my surface book 2 to windows 10 version 1903 one months ago, I have been having the Nvdia graphic 1060 disconnected from my device, which causes me headache for an entire month ( I can not work properly with the upcoming deadline ). Could Microsoft please fix this problem please?

    Hi SomnangBun,

Thank you for bringing this up Microsoft Community. We understand how important it is for you to have a Device that would help you out on your work. We suggest that you  perform these steps to get it fix:

Step 1: Make sure that your Surface has the latest Drivers and Firmware installed.  To Download drivers and firmware for Surface , you can check which drivers and firmware you need on that link.

    • To find out which version and build of Windows you're using, select Start > Settings  > System  > About , then look under Windows Specificationsto find your operating system version and OS build number.(you can also check your current version of windows by clicking Cortana, and type winver on the search box)
    • To update your Surface with the latest drivers and firmware from the Download Center, select the .msi file name that matches your Surface model and version of Windows. For example, to update a Surface Book 2 with build 15063 of Windows 10, choose SurfaceBook2_Win10_15063_1702009_2.msi. For a Surface Book 2 with build 16299 of Windows 10, choose SurfaceBook2_Win10_16299_1703009_2.msi.

Step 2: Go to Device Manager and Observe. Try to detach the keyboard from the tablet and wait for 10-15secs until device manager flickers once or twice.

Step 3: Reattach the keyboard to the tablet and wait until the NVIDIA card/driver pops up in the Device Manager.

Step 4: Perform a normal Shutdown while the card is still visible in the Device manager.

Step 5: While the device is Off, please do a hard reset by pressing the power button and the volume up key for 20 seconds until you will reach to a UEFI interface. Once you are there, click exit and restart.

If this works, we highly encourage you to inform our Community by clicking on Yes or marking my post as an answer. This will help other members who may have the same issue as you. Otherwise, don't hesitate to update us so we can further assist you.

    Kind Regards,

    Rom G.
